Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle Parts

Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle Parts & Information

The Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle was first released in 1982. Initially, there were three, relatively chunky looking 450cc, 650cc and 750cc models. The design was based upon their much famed CB Bikes, which had been in production since 1969. Even so, the changes in spec and style were enough to warrant them to be classed as a entirely new model.

Five years later, production of the Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle was halted, for three years, while the company decided the future directive for this model. Thankfully, Honda reintroduced the Nighthawk, with a new series being released in 1991. Since then, Honda have only made minor changes to the design.

The Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle offers a finely tuned balance between performance and reliability; making it a great ‘all-rounder’, and a hit with veteran riders and newcomers alike.
Ultra capable and lightweight (weighing in at just 315lbs with a full tank), the Nighthawk is perfect for new riders. A dependable, classic looking machine, with all the right kind of ‘standard’ features. It is no surprise that this machine has earned such a good reputation, over the years.

The 2008 Honda Nighthawk is a black, SOHC 234cc, air-cooled vertical twin-cylinder, peppy power plant. The engine is low maintenance, smooth, and extremely fuel efficient. The Nighthawk has an excellent cruising range, giving plenty of mileage, out of it’s 4.3gallon tank. The Nighthawk can deliver plenty of torque; with a single 26mm CV Carburetor, ensuring the throttle remains responsive, at both lower and higher rpm’s. The Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle has five speed transmission and CDI ignition.

For a controlled ride, the Nighthawk has a 31mm fork suspension, with 4:8inch travel, on the front. On the back, dual rear shocks, featuring a 5 position, spring preload, adjustable suspension - for changes in load and conditions - with 3:9inch travel. With long life, high quality tires, a 90/100 18inch tire on the front, and a 16inch, 120/90 on the back, the Honda Nighthawk has excellent traction. The stylish and light weight, wire spoke, wheels have chromed rims, and powerful drum brakes on the front and back. Practical and durable, the Nighthawk offers a comfortable and reliable ride.

The Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle has a 56.3inch wheelbase, and a strong, yet lightweight, single cradle steel frame. The seat is a comfortable height, being 29.3 from the road and ergonomically designed to provide a relaxed riding position. Honda believe the Nighthawk is “the perfect starter bike”, giving it “first place in first bikes”. And, there are many riders and experts who would agree with that statement. Without doubt, the Nighthawk offers style alongside agile handling, comfort, and a price tag that makes it serious value for money. All the things that are important. When looking for a ‘first bike’, no rider can go wrong with a Honda Nighthawk Motorcycle.
