Honda CBR1000 Motorcycle Parts &
Information
Before the new Honda
CBR1000RR Motorcycle made it’s debut in 2008, there was much
speculation. Primarily, as to whether it would create the same
kind of impact, in the Liter bike class, as it’s little brother,
the CBR600RR, did in the Super Sport. Honda are renowned for
keeping that oh so delicate balance, between performance and the
street wise practicality riders need, and want, in the real
world. Well, last year the Honda CBR1000 Motorcycle represented
the peak of Liter bike style and performance. .

However, in true Big Red form, this year,
calling the CBR1000 a Super Bike cuts it short. This fast and
furious ride simply oozes MotoGP DNA!
Even Honda believe that the new CBR1000 Motorcycle is the best
Sports Bike they have ever designed and built. Without doubt,
it is a highly innovative machine. It has a combined Anti-Lock
Braking option and is the first ever production Super Sport to
have ABS brakes. Meaning, it has the most advanced anti
locking system, in the world of production Super Sports.
Sports Bikes have had steering dampers for a long time, but
not all dampers are made by, and have that Honda innovation
they are so world famous for. As most would expect with Honda,
this one goes just that little bit further, to deliver top
class performance. Other Sports Bike Dampers only sense
handlebar deflection speed, Honda’s Electronic Steering Damper
also senses vehicle speed and adjusts damping proportionally.
Therefore, the CBR1000 is highly responsive, delivering low
speed maneuverability, as well as high speed handling. There
is no other Sports Bike to match it.
The styling of the Honda CBR1000 is as powerful as the
performance, both setting new standards for street production,
Sports Bikes. This isn’t a bike for those who are happy to
make do with the status quo! At the heart of the CBR1000 is a
rip and burn, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder, bore/stroke,
999cc combo engine, with a dual stage injection (DOHC four
valves per cylinder). More than capable, of delivering
immediate, high rpm performance: As well as a clean and
measured, low rpm. Yet another great feature on the Honda
CBR1000 is the Ignition Interrupt Control System. A system,
which eases shock load on the transmission, by interrupting
during up-shifts. This state of the art technology is far from
standard, mainly being reserved for production Super Bikes.
But as usual, Big Red is there to deliver!
The new Honda CBR1000 has an all aluminum chassis, and Unit
Pro-Link Rear Suspension, which are both based upon MotoGP
design. The newly designed chassis is much lighter, benefiting
from new technologies, which require less pieces. The MotoGP
derived Unit Pro-Link® rear suspension is exclusive to Honda.
It provides optimal rigidity within the frame, which in turn,
provides accurate and responsive control, while navigating and
exiting corners. The slipper clutch was designed to improve
and control the possibility of rear wheel hop, during rapid
down-shifting, and is also unique to Honda. With lighter
clutch springs, gear levels feel lighter, and the specifically
designed engagement ramps help the clutch to lock tighter when
accelerating. All these features are a product of Honda’s many
years of racing experience, with which, they have produced a
Super Bike that handles like at 600cc.
With so many exclusive features, the CBR1000 prevails among
the Super Bike class. The Honda CBR1000 Motorcycle also has a
computerized, digital transistor, Ignition: Along with 3D
mapping. The CBR1000 has an inverted HMAS cartridge fork on
the front and
Honda’s single shock, Unit Pro-Link® HMAS™, on the back. Both
with a spring, pre-load, rebound. Honda also offer a huge
range of accessories and riding gear, colors and decals. So,
it’s easy to design your own CBR1000. Even so, it’s going to
be hard to improve on perfection!
