The Honda 599 Motorcycle, or as it's known off American soil, the Honda Hornet 600, has been in production for a time. Not a lot has changed since the last model. But then, that’s because, “if it aint broke you don’t fix it”! Even so, there have been some slight updates to the front suspension. On the new Honda 599, the previous, and more conventional suspension, has been replaced with 41mm, telescopic front forks, with a 120mm axle travel suspension.

On the back, the 599 has a Monoshock damper, with 128mm axle travel. Honda describes the 599 as "Lean, mean and poised for new conquests”. When you take a look at the specs and styling, you’ll know what they mean!

The Honda 599 Motorcycle boasts the same 599cc engine as their CBR600, which is why they increased the tank to nineteen litres. In the past, the smaller tank had been a bit of a “sting” for Hornet owners. So, it’s good to see that Honda have sorted it out, complete with a very convenient four litre reserve tank. And, with the 599’s suave new looks and tail kicking performance, who wouldn’t want to take this sweet ride, out onto the open roads? The Honda 599 features a low-slung exhaust, and five spoke alloy wheels. A new, light weight frame has lopped off five kilos, with the 599 now weighing in at 173k. The weight and size of the Honda 599 Motorcycle makes this bike highly attractive for a wide and varied cross section of riders. Particularly for novice riders and the ladies. There is also an ABS version available. The Honda 599 is a great all rounder, that has been designed to get people exactly where they want to go.

The meter also includes a watch, stopwatch, fuel gauge and two trip meters. Techie heaven… Just switch on the ignition and it’s lights alive!

The wheelbase on the new Honda 599 is up on earlier versions and the seat has also been redesigned. Life has been made easier for pillion passengers, with the addition of a handy anti slip material. Guess that cuts the chances of losing you better half on the high roads… Fired up and ready for some serious street fighting action, the Honda 599 Motorcycle has been updated.
